Cheddar's Supports TBR
Cheddar's Casual Café presented a check in the amount of $4200 dollars Monday night to Texas Boys Ranch.
The check presentation took place at Texas Boys Ranch for their Annual "Give Thanks" Dinner. Children, staff, and board were present. Josh Page, General Manager of Cheddar's Casual Café presented the check to a very excited group.
Funds were raised at Cheddar's own "RanchRaiser" the weekend of October 21st through the 23rd, when Cheddar's donated 100% of their profits to improve the lives of children of Texas Boys Ranch. Texas Boys Ranch is grateful for to the company, the management and the customers who have made this donation possible.
Texas Boys Ranch Annual "Give Thanks" Meal
We kicked off our Thanksgiving week in style this Monday at our annual "Give Thanks" meal.
Board members, staff, houseparents, and children enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner and expressed what they were thankful for this year.
One of the most memorable expressions came from nine-year old Lance who came to TBR just one month ago. He told everyone he was "thankful to have a safe and fun place to live with his brother." It's amazing the impact that can be made in such a short amount of time.
We are thankful to you, our donors and supporters, who made a "safe and fun place" possible for Lance and his brother.
"Merry Thanksgiving"
Ten year-old Tyler has been with us for almost a year now. In the beginning, Tyler was incredibly angry with his circumstances, and rightfully so. He had seen and experienced things no one should ever have to go through.
Understandably, Tyler has struggle to attach to any adults at the Ranch.
However, he's made some great progress with his new houseparents. He even told them he loved them last week and handed Mr. Drew and Ms. Bekah a letter he wrote for their "Thanksgiving present:"
"Merry Thanksgiving Ms. Bekah and mr. drew. I love you so much and I carry about you and with all my heart God and Jesus love ya'll too and thank you for loving me. Jesus Amen."
We are so excited about the big steps Tyler has taken in his short time here. Thank you, for making Tyler's progress possible!
