Residential Care
Texas Boys Ranch is a residential care facility. In each cottage a live-in houseparent couple, along with shift and relief staff, works to meet the needs for up to eight children. Our houseparent couples and relief staff are dedicated to creating a structured and loving environment for our children.
The environment of the Ranch encourages consistency while establishing a child's identity in work and relationships. Often the goal is to reunify the child with the family and keep the siblings close to each other. When reunification or adoption is not possible, some children grow up at Texas Boys Ranch. Many of our youth enter college after graduating high school. Others choose to attend vocational training.
Therapeutic intervention includes group and individual counseling. A multiple discipline team participates in treatment planning for all children requiring more intensive therapeutic services. A behavioral level system is utilized to aid children in making progress on individualized goals.
