Spiritual Development Program

Our spiritual development program promotes spiritual, moral, and emotional development in the lives of our children. Through activities and events coordinated by direct care staff, we can see positive changes happening in our kids.  Our goal is ultimately to facilitate the strengthening of our kids’ personal relationships with God, family, and their respective communities.

Our Spiritual Development Coordinator encourages participation in campus-wide devotionals. These give our kids an opportunity to sing and study together and pray for common concerns.  These devotionals may involve other Christians and/or Christian organizations from the local community.

Each cottage attends one of our local churches so that our kids have the opportunity to enjoy learning about God’s word in Bible class and worship services. One of our cottages is learning how to lead worship-leading prayers, leading singing, reading Bible verses. Their growth over the last few weeks, in both their confidence and faith, is amazing. Our houseparents and case manager are also responsible for organizing participation in spiritual activities: cottage devotionals, summer church camp, summer youth series, vacation Bible schools, Texas Boys Ranch youth group trips, area lock-ins, area youth rallies, and area work camps.

Our Spiritual Development Coordinator makes available pastoral counseling and individual study as needed.
